This is a reminder to please REGISTER to attend the "Tier-3" (i.e.,
university-based) data and networking needs workshop next WEDNESDAY,
Feb. 14 2007 to be held at Texas A&M University in College Station,
Texas. This instance of the workshop is focused on the needs of the
south-central US and is sponsored by Internet2, the ESNet Energy
Sciences network, and several local and regional networking and grid
projects.
More information is available at the workshop web site:
https://indico.fnal.gov/conferenceDisplay.py?confId=536
including maps, the registration form and other conference details.
We would really like to see at least one representative, preferably
more, from each of the university-based high energy physics groups,
both experimental and theoretical, involved in preparations for data
analysis and Monte Carlo simulations in support of any experiment at
the LHC. If you intend to process, access or analyze data from the
LHC at your university, you really need to attend or send someone to
this workshop!
Please call or send questions if you would like further details.
Otherwise, we hope to see you at the workshop in College Station next
week!
P.S.: Texas-based high energy physicists, astrophysicists, and those
involved in related fields such as nuclear physics and nuclear
medicine are also invited to sign up to the mailing list for the
Texas High Energy Grid (THEGrid), a project of the High Performance
Computing Across Texas organization that is focused on computing
related to these fields. More information is available on the signup
page for this mailing list at:

Apologies if you are already signed up or if this is a duplicate
message.
