[THEGrid] Visit of Reagan Moore to TTU; no developer's meeting Friday Oct. 28

Hi,

We are hosting Dr. Reagan Moore, head of the Storage Resource Broker 
project at the SDSC, this week Friday and his talk is scheduled to 
conflict with our weekly TIGRE developer's meeting.

We can either delay it or cancel it this week; I would prefer to do the 
latter in view of the VDT delay.  On the other hand, we are willing to 
broadcast his short talk (2:00 to 2:30 Friday, followed by informal 
discussion) to the group by any or all of the available video 
technologies: Access Grid, VRVS, and/or ESNet H.323 video.  If this is 
of interest, please sound off to me and/or to the whole group.

P.S.: As an informal poll, we only have four certificates registered so 
far in our TIGRE VOMRS server; is this due to lack of interest or 
difficulty obtaining certificates?  I think the TACC CA is close to 
being ready, and we have already demonstrated the ability to pull in 
certificates from other CAs.  I checked with DOEGrids and was told that 
if the researcher or staff member in question has ANY contact with 
DOE-funded or many NSF-funded projects, OR is already working with an 
OSG-related VO, they can issue certificates to such people easily (and 
these can be used with TIGRE).  Those who have questions can send me 
personal e-mail.
