Dear HiPCAT and THEGrid project members,
This note is just to provide some links for easy reference for project
information and the mailing list for the THEGrid Texas High Energy Grid
project, for information to HiPCAT representatives and for potential
THEGrid project members.
The main page for the first THEGrid organizational workshop is at
http://www-hep.uta.edu/~yu/research/hipcat/workshop/
This contains links to talks, speakers and transparencies, including a
summary and action items in PDF form.
We have also created a Mailman-based list for THEGrid communications.
We chose MailMan because of its self-subscription capabilities and
internal features to allow moderation if necessary to ensure the
quality of the list by blocking potential spammers.
To post to this list, send your email to:
thegrid at highenergy.phys.ttu.edu
General information about the mailing list, including subscription
information, is at:
http://highenergy.phys.ttu.edu/mailman/listinfo/thegrid
Please call this information to the attention of high energy
physicists, nuclear physicists, and astrophysicists and astronomers at
your institution. Participation is voluntary and membership is open.
Our first technical project is the installation of Ganglia monitoring
and the accumulation of links on clusters that are of interest to this
project. Please participate in this by sending us your information and
by visiting the initial summary site at
http://thegrid.dpcc.uta.edu/ganglia-setup.html
The mailing list archives for this month at
http://highenergy.phys.ttu.edu/pipermail/thegrid/2004-July/subject.html
also contain more information.
Thanks very much and again, please pass on this information to
colleagues as appropriate.
Best,
Alan Sill
Jae Yu
Larry Pinsky
